We hope Mel Gibson doesn’t turn into Mad Max, but the owner of his old mansion — which was purchased from the actor just two years ago for $24 million — is going on sale for $33 million!
Mel lived in the Greenwich, Connecticut mansion with his wife Robyn until they separated and subsequently divorced. The 15,862 sq ft home was initially built in 1926 and as you can see in more pictures (below), it still maintains the decade’s elegance.
With 15 bedrooms, 17 bathrooms and a dining room big enough to fit every New York Giants football player at the table, it is a monster of a house.
The property’s real charm isn’t hidden within the walls, however. What truly makes this place special is the 75.7 acres of gorgeous green scenery that surrounds the massive building!
In fact, the Lethal Weapon star’s old home is so classy that there is even a life-sized chess board in the backyard!
We’re not sure who would want to give this perfect property up, but if there is a $9 million profit involved, we can understand why the owner is thinking about selling it!
