What a major movie mistake!
On Monday, Miles Teller took to Twitter to congratulate Brie Larson for winning the Best Actress category at the 2016 Oscars. Considering Brie once played Miles’ ex-girlfriend in the Spectacular Now, his message was especially cute!

For those who don’t know, Brie’s character of Cassidy broke up with Miles’ character of Sutter in the beginning of the film over his dependence on alcohol. Even though Sutter eventually found new love with Shailene Woodley‘s character, he chased Cassidy aka Larson for a good portion of the flick.
Referencing their doomed romance in his congrats message, M.T. tweeted:
I should’ve never let her break up with me in spectacular now! Congrats @brielarson!!!

Awww! How sweet AND funny. You definitely let go of a good one, Miles (no shade to Shailene, btw)!
