Don’t mess with Miranda Lambert!
After her split from Blake Shelton in July 2015 and the release of her sixth studio album The Weight of These Wings in November 2016, the songstress was noticeably absent from the public eye.

In an interview with HITs Daily Double published on Tuesday, the country crooner admits she was reluctant to do press during this time period. Oh, and Shelton’s relationship with Gwen Stefani didn’t make things better!
Referring to the release of her 2016 record, the now-34-year-old revealed:
“We had another bomb when I told [Sony Music Nashville chief Randy Goodman] I wasn’t going to talk to anyone. And I didn’t… I came into [manager Marion Kraft]’s office and said, ‘I’m not speaking to anyone until they hear this record.’ That’s fair. I thought that was fair.”‘
However, when Miranda finally agreed to do an interview, she was asked the one question she didn’t want to answer!
“When the music was out, people had listened, I got on the phone for the first interview. First question was, ‘How do you feel about Gwen?’ I hung up. I told Marion, I just can’t do this.”‘
At the end of the day, the Texas-native wants her music to speak for itself.
“What was in the music was real, and I wanted people to get it from that. Take from it what they would. Then if I needed to talk, I would. But I haven’t really. Until now.”
Lambert has recently been linked to Turnpike Troubadours musician Evan Felker, who is in the middle of a divorce from estranged wife, Staci.
