Sending good thoughts to Camila Cabello and Shawn Mendes!
The pair have yet to publicly confirm their relationship, but they’ll surely do so tonight when they take the stage at the MTV VMAs to perform their hit song Señorita together. It also ought to be a crowning night for the young superstars, as they officially show off their love to the world in front of what’s setting up to be a very high-profile audience.

But with all the attention come the nerves, and both 22-year-old Cabello and 21-year-old Mendes are apparently dealing with them right now. An insider spoke to Us Weekly about the anxiety and uncertainty leading up to Monday night’s performance, revealing more about the cautious couple (below):
“Shawn and Camila are really nervous about nailing their performance and have been rehearsing a lot of for the VMAs. Since it’s the official debuting of them as a couple and they want it to be amazing and perfect … Camila and Shawn decided on this being their debut as a couple; they intentionally haven’t talked to media about each other.”
OK then!
The insider goes on to state the pair has been rehearsing their set tonight “for hours every day,” so it’s clearly something that means a lot to them — and they want to nail it on live television when it really counts in a few hours. BTW, you can expect Cabello to “do most of the moving and dancing” during their set, though it’s still a little unclear what the finished product will look like. Guess we’ll have to wait until tonight to see!!

Obviously, these two have a very long history together, and the spark in their relationship has been growing and glowing for quite some time. They need not owe it to their fans to come out publicly like this, of course, but it should be gratifying to both fandoms to see the power couple take the stage together as one! Plus, tonight’s highly-anticipated performance should be a nice way for them to come full circle on what’s been a very long road to get to this point.
