Amanda Kloots FINALLY Reunited With Nick Cordero After 79 Days Apart!

Nick Cordero Amanda Kloots Reunion Hospital Coronavirus

Such a sweet moment during the most terrifying time we can imagine.

For nearly three months Nick Cordero has been in the hospital after contracting the novel coronavirus. In one of the most harrowing battles with COVID-19 we’ve heard of, the Broadway star spent weeks in a medically induced coma, has been kept alive by a ventilator and ECMO machine, lost 65 lbs due to muscle atrophy, and had to have his right leg amputated to save him from blood clots.

And throughout all of it his wife Amanda Kloots has not even been able to get close enough to touch him. Due to restrictions to reduce transmission of the virus, she was able to visit — but never to make contact.

That changed on Friday as she excitedly shared a couple Instagram Stories back to back showing fans she was heading to actually properly visit her husband in the ICU for the first time.

Along with a beautiful photo of the two of them holding hands (above), the doting wife posted her feelings in that moment.

And apparently it was too much emotion for words, because she expressed herself through the lyrics of the Andy Grammer song Don’t Give Up On Me, writing:

I will fight
I will fight for you
I always do until my heart
Is black and blue

And I will stay
I will stay with you
We’ll make it to the other side
Like lovers do

I’ll reach my hands out in the dark
And wait for yours to interlock
I’ll wait for you
I’ll wait for you

‘Cause I’m not givin’ up
I’m not givin’ up, givin’ up
No not yet
Even when I’m down to my last breath
Even when they say there’s nothin’ left
So don’t give up on…

I’m not givin’ up
I’m not givin’ up, givin’ up
No not me
Even when nobody else believes
I’m not goin’ down that easily
So don’t give up on me #day79

Awwww….

Amanda has been giving followers constant updates on Nick’s health, and it’s been a real roller coaster ride.

The Tony Award-nominated actor woke from his coma in mid-May, which was a phenomenally hopeful sign. However, his recovery went “downhill” after that, leading to Amanda asking for “mega prayers.”

We still don’t know where things will end up, but for now Nick is still fighting — and Amanda is fighting for him, too. And finally they’re doing it together.

Shut up, you’re crying.
