Sounds like Nick Gordon might not be the bad guy after all — at least not this time.
It’s been reported that the 29-year-old will not face criminal charges for allegedly beating his girlfriend because she renounced her original statement to police, denying he had beaten her.
As we reported, the late Bobbi Kristina Brown‘s former flame was arrested for domestic violence last month after authorities say his girlfriend Laura Leal told them Gordon struck her in the face several times.

Gordon’s account, on the other hand, was that Leal threw a bottle at him, ripped his shirt, and was acting crazy — which was all alleged through panicked cries in his 911 call.
This story lines up with what Leal told the judge in a letter, urging authorities to release Gordon and claiming the incident was her fault because she suffers from bipolar disorder.
Prosecutors in Seminole County, Florida said without any independent witnesses, they were unable to move forward with charges. But Gordon isn’t completely off the hook — he was still charged with violating a court order to stay away from Leal after the arrest.
Gordon may have allegedly been abusive in his relationship with Bobbi Kristina, but he sure sounds like the victim in his 911 call regarding Leal. If you don’t believe us, head over to TMZ and listen for yourself.
