Don’t come for Normani with that racist bull s**t!
The singer posted pics of herself to her Instagram page on Friday showing off an amazing re-creation of a semi-nude photo shoot Cher did in 1979, complete with a shimmering silver wig. The look was truly iconic, and an absolutely perfect re-creation of the I Got You Babe singer’s original look… but some people weren’t exactly feeling the amazingness.

First, the pics. As you can see (below), Normani looks f**king incredible with her rendition of Cher’s iconic photo shoot look, and we seriously can’t get enough of scrolling back and forth between these photos and comparing them:

Simply amazing!!! And as you might expect, Normani got a TON of love on Instagram for the risqué, gorgeous shoot showing love to an icon like Cher.
Only… some commenters weren’t exactly feeling things here. And in fact, one commenter made a particularly controversial comment on “a black girl” like Normani choosing to look like Cher for the holiday, writing (below):
“I don’t think this is the right costume for a black girl. Cher is white and Cher was thing, Cher did a lot you not even close to her you black people think you own everything not fair you could’ve done beyonce or rihanna or janet but no cher cher is white respect her.”
Ummm… WTF?! How is it possible people still think like this in 2019?! Yeah, yeah, we know Donald Trump is a thing but, like, come on, people!!!

Before Normani could even respond to it, though, Hailey Bieber was already on the case — and she didn’t hold back in calling out the commenter (and Trump, LOLz) in a direct response to the controversial words (below):
“There is absolutely nothing wrong with Normani dressed up as Cher for Halloween. What do you mean by the first sentence? She can do it because she wants to, she is doing much better than you, you’re behind a computer complaining about a costume. Stop being racist and get out of her page if you don’t like it. It’s 2019 and you’re still supporting the garbage of [President Donald] Trump.”
Wow!! Talk about holding back!! Hailey went IN on the commenter so much that Normani didn’t even need to come over the top — get you some friends that’ll defend you and have your back like THAT, y’all!
