She’s stayed silent for as long as she could but FINALLY, Oprah Winfrey is ready to discuss the N-Word controversy surrounding her friend Paula Deen!
These two became buddy-buddy back in 2012 when Paula invited Ms. O to her Georgia home for a special episode of Oprah’s Next Chapter. The talk show host even ended up spending the night!
But after the videotaped deposition in which Deen admits to using the N-word went public, we wondered if Oprah would hold the same place in her heart for Paula.
After all, Oprah has a strict, “no n-word” policy for all of her friends!
Just days after the initial reports though, it was the Big O who tried to talk to Paula! As Oprah describes it:
“In the very first days I tried to reach her and then I decided to stay out of it as I saw it blowing up. In time she will be fine. For me, it all just felt kind of sad.”
Oprah has now decided to “let the dust settle” before she tries to sit down with Paula to discuss the matter.
Something tells us that the Queen of the Tell-all interview has some plans up her sleeve! If Lindsay Lohan can’t get OWN some good ratings, we’d bet a million sticks of butter that Paula Deen will bring viewers in by the barrel full!
