The holidays revolve around family, friends, food and fun. But let’s face it, organizing, shopping and preparing a holiday feast is enough to turn someone into a big crab when you’re supposed to be enjoying yourself. If you serve a traditional holiday dinner time after time why not turn the shopping and menu into a science and document favorite family holiday dinners? Make a list on your computer or smart phone and name the file “Holiday Meals.” Update the document and print it out next year. You can even make a list of menu items to organize ahead of time or delegate to extra help to lighten the load.
Remember too, you can spend a lot of time preparing an extravagant meal, or something bare-bones. The idea is to find a happy place when something simpler would do—the choice is yours. But nobody wants to be eating leftovers for an eternity!
What is your favorite short-cut or time saving tip for holiday meal planning, shopping or cooking?
