No one knows how to deal with an award show crisis like Steve Harvey.
Which is why Twitter was waiting for the comedian’s reaction to that unbelievable Best Picture mix-up during the Oscars on Sunday!
On Monday, Harvey responded to the shocking ending to the Academy Awards — where Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway presented La La Land with the Best Picture even though Moonlight was the actual winner.
Many viewers compared this live fiasco to Harvey’s infamous Miss Universe mix-up crowning the wrong contestant as the winner.

Even Jimmy Kimmel referenced the 2015 shocker immediately after Sunday’s twist, joking on stage:
“Guys, this is very unfortunate what happened. Personally, I blame Steve Harvey for this.”
The TV personality broke his silence on the subject the next morning, telling Beatty to give him a call. He tweeted:
Good morning everybody! Went to sleep early last night. So… what I miss? #Oscars

As similar as the two scenarios were, we’d like to point out that Beatty was given the WRONG card, while Harvey just confused “first runner up” with the winning contestant.
But that doesn’t solve the mystery of why Emma Stone‘s duplicate Best Actress envelope got into the presenter’s hands — which is why Miss Universe also offered their help to the Academy.
The beauty pageant organization wrote on Twitter:
Have your people call our people – we know what to do. #Oscars #MissUniverse

Ha! They better give Olivia Pope’s number after a scandal like this. We hope Kerry Washington is available!
We can’t wait to hear Harvey’s full reaction to the award show mishap.
