Paramount Reconsidering Mission Impossible 4?!

Due to the lackluster expectations for Tom Cruise‘s upcoming Knight and Day, Paramount is reconsidering going ahead with Mission Impossible 4.
No decisions have been made yet, but considering all the development that has already gone into the project, it will probably not be scrapped. And the studio sure doesn’t want to piss off producer JJ Abrams.
Cruise is most likely to reprise his role as Ethan Hunt and beef up the subplot of a young protege for some fresh blood.
The film is scheduled for release December 16, 2011.
We can’t imagine Knight and Day doing well, so this is gonna be inneresting.
