In order to help up-and-coming actors get discovered, Paula Abdul is launching AuditionBooth.com, a casting website which will connect casting directors, producers and managers to talent for their future projects.
Paula is co-founder, equity partner, board member and creative advisor for the site. And it may even grow to incorporate musicians, singers, models and dancers.
She said:
“I’ve spent so much time throughout my career nurturing great talent, some of whom have realized their dreams and some of whom haven’t been as lucky. The fact is though that in some cases the only difference has been opportunity – that is what AuditionBooth is about – the opportunity.”
Casting can search the site and sort through submissions, but they can also comment on videos and share with colleagues. It even has a “like” button similar to Facebook.
