Nigel Lythgoe Is Now Being Investigated By Sony Amid Growing Sexual Assault Lawsuits!

S**t is really hitting the fan for Nigel Lythgoe.

While the TV producer may be trying to dismiss all the sexual assault accusations coming his way, it sounds like the studio that produces his show isn’t quite as quick to deflect. On Wednesday, insiders told TMZ that Sony Pictures Television, which co-produces So You Think You Can Dance through its 19 Entertainment division, alongside Dick Clark Productions, is diving into the claims head first with an internal investigation.

In addition to creating and executive producing, Nigel also served as a judge on the reality dance competition until 2022 — and was set to return in the upcoming Season 18 in March. But according to the insiders, his future with the show is now up in the air — both as a judge and executive producer, pending investigation findings.

He may have tried to shoot down Paula Abdul’s allegations, but he can’t deny the scope of the situation anymore!

As we’ve been reporting, the American Idol alum claimed Nigel assaulted her on two separate occasions — once in the early 2000s during her judging stint on the singing show, and once while she was a judge on SYTYCD. She also claimed to have seen him grope one of her assistants while on the show.

On Tuesday, two more anonymous women came forward with a lawsuit of their own, claiming he also sexually assaulted them on the 2000s reality show All American Girl.
