If you’re thinking about giving someone a pet as a gift, DON’T DO IT!
Unless of course they want one and are emotionally and finically ready for the 10-20 year commitment of owning a pet.
Or you’re getting it for your kids and you plan on taking care of it because you are emotionally and financially ready.
If you are 100% ready for a pet, make sure you adopt a shelter dog!
What could be a better gift than taking a pet out of a shelter (and off of death row) and bringing them into your warm home to lay down and take a well deserved, peaceful nap underneath the christmas tree.
