Prince George is taking flight!
Following in his father Prince William‘s footsteps, the 11-year-old is reportedly learning to fly! According to The Sun on Thursday, the future king had his first flight lesson last week, on the final day of his summer vacation.

The lesson took place at White Waltham Airfield in Berkshire, England, near the family’s Windsor home, Adelaide Cottage. His parents watched as the boy took to the skies for just under an hour. How exciting and nerve-wracking that must’ve been for poor momma Princess Catherine! An eyewitness told the outlet:
“He loved it. It’s the right time to start.”
Is it? 11 years old?? Another person explained:
“George is only 11 years old but it is the right time to start. The Royal Family has a proud tradition of flying and it looks like George is next in line. His parents watched George take flight from the safety of the ground but he flew with an instructor and loved it.”
They’re acting like it’s piano lessons! It’s FLYING A PLANE! We can’t believe he’s doing this so young!
Despite his age, George’s parents seem to be fine! Will and Kate and their eldest son were spotted hanging out at the airfield’s clubhouse — and they were all super “chill”! An insider noted:
“There were probably 30 or 40 people in the clubhouse. Catherine and William watched George take off. But they were relaxed about it. All three of them had been pretty chilled in the clubhouse.”
Bet they knew he was in good hands! George’s late great-grandfather Prince Philip trained at the same spot, after all. Innerestingly, William didn’t learn to fly until training at RAF Cranwell in 2008, and he still loves flying his helicopter to this day, despite worries from his relatives. Makes sense he’s getting his son started much younger then!
Reactions?? Can you believe the young boy’s already learning to fly? So cool! Let us know your thoughts (below)!
