So this is why he rushed out of London so fast!
Thursday night kicked off Super Bowl LVIII weekend in Las Vegas with the NFL Honors celebrating the best in the sport — and Prince Harry, of all people, was there to award the highest honor!
The Duke of Sussex stepped out on stage to close out the awards ceremony by handing out the Walter Payton Man of the Year Award to the Pittsburgh Steelers player Cameron Heyward. While introducing the trophy, Meghan Markle‘s hubby teased the crowd about how the US stole rugby from his home country before getting more serious, praising the athletes in attendance:
“What you guys do on and off the field is truly remarkable. You’re role models for millions in the way you carry yourselves and the way you give back. This final award, the highest honor, is all about serving your community, and there’s one special man we’d like to pay tribute to now. A player who goes above and beyond and whose extraordinary commitment to helping others is a reflection of his own story.”
Well, makes sense why he was giving this one out! The Archewell founder has dedicated much of his life to charity, too!

The award (plus $250,000 to be donated to a charity of his choice) was given to the 34-year-old defensive lineman, who was mind-blown about the royal appearance! While accepting the honor, he exclaimed:
“Man, Prince freaking Harry! I’m in shock. That’s Prince Harry!”
LOLz! The 39-year-old could be seen laughing in the background. So sweet. Ch-ch-check it out (below) and see the whole thing HERE:

As mentioned, Harry’s visit comes after he jetted to England to visit with his father King Charles III following his cancer diagnosis earlier this week. While they both reportedly want to fix their relationship, the fact they had an extremely brief meeting and that the Spare author left the country within 24 hours of his arrival didn’t look like a good sign AT ALL. But now knowing he had this on the books, we guess it wasn’t such a shady exit after all! He had places to be!
