Prince Harry & Meghan Markles’s Plans To Attend King Charles’ Coronation Are Being Finalized!

Sounds like Prince Harry and Meghan Markle might be heading to the UK!

According to multiple Page Six sources on Wednesday, plans are being finalized for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex to jet to England for King Charles III‘s coronation on May 6. With just a month to go until the historic crowning ceremony, a royal insider revealed:

“There have been lengthy discussions between the Sussexes and the palace, there is a time crunch on this, of course.”

Hmm… It’s a positive sign they’re all discussing plans!

Just because talks are underway, it does not mean Harry and Meghan have agreed to come, they added:

“It’s such a historical event and it’s hoped that Harry and Meghan will be there.”

Keyword: “hoped.” Everything is still up in the air! One highly-placed insider said the final decision lies with the 38-year-old, who has worries about attending:

“All families are difficult, but this is no normal family, of course. Harry has a lot of questions about how the event will work.”

These questions likely revolve around how the couple will be treated while in the country — and if their list of demands will be granted. As we all know, they’ve been embroiled in a messy feud with the rest of the royals ever since leaving their working roles in 2020 and proceeding to put the family on blast in numerous media projects. Even if Charles attempts to make amends on the day of the coronation, it will probably be very obvious how outcast his youngest son and daughter-in-law are. For starters, the couple will probably not be seated with the rest of the family, similar to how things were handled during Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee and funeral. That said, there could be another very obvious sign of the times, too!

Another royal source pointed out the Suits alum will not have access to the family jewels — unlike Princess Catherine! It’s currently unknown what the Princess of Wales plans to wear to the coronation, but there has been some talk about her wearing a tiara, such as Princess Diana‘s favorite piece, the Lover’s Knot tiara. Meg, on the other hand, will only be left to choose from the jewels Harry gifted her already.

The couple will also have no role to play in the event. So, while it would be a huge show of support if they go, they wouldn’t be missed much. Still, their decision will have big implications. Another insider told the outlet the Archewell founders know it’s a case of “damned if they do, damned if they don’t” since all eyes will be on them on the day no matter what they decide to do.

If they do attend, it would be their last chance to stay at Frogmore Cottage (after getting evicted by His Majesty). It’s unclear if their children Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet would tag along — as far as we know, they may not have been invited. While Harry has been hoping for an apology from his family before making his decision, it seems unrealistic at this point. He was just in London late last month and his father and brother Prince William refused to meet with him. So, it’s going to come down to what Harry cares about most: being there for his family or continuing to stick it to ‘em! What do YOU think he’ll decide?? Sound OFF (below)!
