Huge Fire Rips Through Rachael Ray's Upstate New York Home!

Rachael Ray and husband John Cusimano safe after house fire

UPDATE 12:31 PST: Rachael tweeted an update about the entire ordeal on Monday afternoon. She shared:

“Thank you to our local first responders for being kind and gracious and saving what they could of our home. Grateful that my mom, my husband, my dog… we’re all okay. These are the days we all have to be grateful for what we have, not what we’ve lost. I *did* lose my phone (posting through a team member) Thank you for all the well wishes, concern and outreach, but can’t return texts and calls at the moment…!”

Grateful indeed!!

Rachael Ray‘s home in upstate New York, where she and husband John Cusimano have been quarantining during the coronavirus pandemic, is no longer the same after a huge fire erupted on Sunday night.

Thankfully, there were no injuries.

The Warren County Sheriff’s Office revealed firefighters rushed to her Lake Luzerne house on Chuckwagon Trail at around 8 p.m. yesterday, as pictures of the grim scene (HERE) quickly spread online. From the images, it seems the fire ripped through the roof of her estate, though it’s unclear if the home still stands today.

What’s most important though is that Rachael and her fam were not in harm’s way. Her rep confirmed this much in a statement to multiple outlets, sharing:

“Rachael, her husband John and their dog Bella are safe. The house is unfortunately damaged and we don’t yet know to what extent.”

Just earlier in the day, the Food Network star revealed the delicious meal she cooked up for John and his pals, writing on Instagram about “@johnmcusimano’s golf day ⛳️ w friends – first friend outing in months!!”

Posting pictures of a beautiful mini charcuterie board, as well as the filet mignon subs she made for them to enjoy, Ray continued to describe her A+ snack game, not knowing what would lie ahead:

“Socially distancing + @johnmcusimano wearing his stay-cool gator ???? mask ???? (Snacks are insane!)

Charcuterie Boxes – everyone has their own box + cooler of water (and beer) ????????

The cured duck meat is ribboned w cherries ???? and rosemary and pepper. The prosciutto wraps, taleggio + sage. The bresaola wraps, plums and green tomatoes ???? w micro basil and thick aged balsamic ????

The local aged goat cheese has honey ???? w hazelnuts and blueberries. Smoked Oscars blue served w micro celery. Drunken goat cheese w a blackberry. Truffle mousse w capers on baguette. Pork country-style pate w shallots Dijon cornichon. Sourdough cracker w maple smoked chèvre. Sotto cenere truffle cheese. Salumi (mixed salami) – Fennel, Genoa, Beef, Hot, Beer✨

Also sent smoked filet mignon subs (long day!!) w horseradish, Dijon, sour cream sauce, watercress, radishes, shallots + cornichon on a baguette ????”

The celebrity chef has been filming episodes of her Rachael Ray Show in the kitchen of her Lake Luzerne home, previously telling Albany news station, WNYT-TV, of her virtual set-up on May 1:

“There ain’t a lot of hair and make-up going on here, so it’s a different kind of intimacy that I think we’ve established with our viewers and honestly it feels good.”

While Rachael will have to set up shop elsewhere, it’s a relief to know she and her loved ones are safe!
