Well, at least they’re big enough to admit what they did!
Rascal Flatts sang their song Rewind at the Academy of Country Music Awards on Sunday and when watching it, something seemed a little, well, off about the performance!
The song sounded TOO good for playing live!
Well, it looks like the band has come clean as to why! Turns out their lead singer, Gary LeVox, was lip syncing!
Um.. who called that one? Oh yeah — we totally called it!
The band took to their Twitter to tell the truth about their performance!
They said:
“After having performed several shows earlier in the week, Gary lost his voice. So, instead of canceling our commitment to do the show, we made a last minute decision to lip-sync. We’ve never done it before, and we’re obviously not very good at it. We look forward to singing live again in the very heard future!”
Oh man! Well, at least they didn’t let fans down who expected a performance at the awards show!
Plus, if he’d lost his voice, there was no way to do it live, so lip syncing was his only option!
Though, maybe Blake Shelton shouldn’t have insulted Britney Spears with that quip at the beginning of the show if Rascal Flatts was gonna lip sync that night!
Just sayin!!!
Ch-ch-check out the performance from the show (below)!!!
