5 Things To Know About Ricky Martin's Adorable New BF Jwan Yosef!

We’re so happy to see Ricky Martin in love again!
Almost two years after splitting from his economist boyfriend Carlos Gonzalez Abella, this past Friday the sexy singer made his public debut with a new man — Jwan Yosef! Aw!

While it’s clear Jwan kills it in the looks department (the pair’s red carpet pic from amFAR Inspiration Gala is GORGEOUS), we decided to dig a little deeper into who Martin’s latest love actually is. It turns out there’s a lot to know about Yosef!
1. The Basics
In an interesting turn of events, the 32-year-old was born in Syria yet moved to Sweden when he was a young boy. To make matters even more complex, the sexy dude revealed to U+MAG that his dad is a “Kurdish Muslim” while his mom is “Armenian Greek Orthodox”.
In the convo, J.Y. admitted that this religious combination isn’t so accepted in Syria:

“Not an ideal mix in those days. Or ever in that case!”

Despite his parents’ strong religious backgrounds, Yosef claims he’s not religious himself.
2. Talented Artist
Mr. Yosef is an incredible artist who has shown his work in many galleries around the world, like Stockholm and London. The UK based creative even has his MA in fine art from the prestigious Central Saint Martins school. Check out a pic of J.Y.’s work (below)!
