Chrishell Stause had a serious medical scare! Thank goodness she had surgery when she did!
On Sunday, the Selling Sunset star took to Instagram to reveal something very scary: that after undergoing what she termed a “full body scan,” experts determined both of her breast implants had ruptured! OMG!!!

There was nothing left to do but get that issue addressed, obviously. And since she has come to learn that many women actually experience this with older (Chrishell hilariously called them “vintage”) implants, she wanted to get the word out about how to make things better should the worst occur! In a joint IG video with Dr. Josef Hadeed, who performed the surgery, Chrishell kicked off an interview clip by explaining:
“This was my journey: I had breast implants and they were ruptured. A lot of people go through this. A lot of people might be living with this and don’t know it.”
And then she added:
“I want to be fully open and transparent about my experience in the hopes it could help anyone else going through this.”
And transparent she was! Along with her chat with Dr. Hadeed in the video itself, she also went into some depth in the caption of the post when it came to explaining how she removed all of her “vintage” silicone:
“Earlier this year, I had a full body scan and learned both of my breast implants were ruptured. My first thought was fear, thinking about having to undergo surgery and if the rupture would lead to any complications. But very happy I found @josefhadeedmd, and had an amazing experience with him and his team. They were able to remove all of the silicone and replace my 15-year old ‘vintage’ implants.”
Ever the connector, Chrishell also took time out of her IG reveal to make sure everyone knows that she is not advocating for other people to undergo plastic or cosmetic surgery in any way:
“Plastic surgery is a personal choice and I’m in no way encouraging anyone to change anything about their body. If you do make that choice for yourself, it’s so important to stay on top of your health — I know many people could be living with this and have no idea.”
An important thing that needs to be said! Just for the record!
Clicking back to the video itself, we are happy to report that this story has a happy ending! Dr. Hadeed was able to remove the ruptured implants with no lasting or lingering side effects. Yay!! And Chrishell smiled as she admitted to having felt that all her anxieties had been removed along with the aged silicone:
“I think the whole process was a little bit easier than I had built it up. I was a little nervous, obviously, and it was not as dramatic as I thought it was going to be.”

Obviously, Chrishell has been all over the news in recent weeks because of the increasingly intense drama that has spread out across the Selling Sunset universe. So at least it would seem that these ruptured breast implants are no longer another worry piling up on her plate. So scary! We’re just glad she got things taken care of quickly and effectively!!
