Sharon Stone is doing her part on social media to ensure everyone wears a mask out in public while battling the coronavirus.
And it’s all come about because the actress’ sister, Kelly, is now “fighting for breath” after recently testing positive for the coronavirus. Stone herself confirmed the diagnosis publicly with a series of new Instagram posts on Sunday, in which she shared a set of pictures of Kelly’s hospital room and explained the lengths doctors and nurses are going to quarantine and treat COVID-19 sufferers.

Impassioned in her messaging along with the pictures themselves, the 62-year-old film star implored the public to continue to wear face masks to help guard against the spread of the virus. Clearly concerned for her sister, especially after revealing her pre-existing condition of lupus — and feeling a little anger at “Non-Mask wearers” for creating such a bad national environment in which the pandemic has endlessly spread this year — the Total Recall actress wrote:
“My sister Kelly, who already has lupus, now has COVID-19. This is her hospital room. One of you Non-Mask wearers did this. She does not have an immune system. The only place she went was the pharmacy. There is no testing in her county unless you are symptomatic, & then it’s 5 day wait for results. Can YOU FACE THIS ROOM ALONE? Wear a mask! For yourself and others. Please ????.”
Wow! That’s no joke, either; as you can see by the pics Stone shared of her sister’s hospital bed (below), this definitely doesn’t look like a place you want to wind up, no matter what:
Scary, indeed, and very sad that Sharon’s family now has to go through this as her sister battles the disease. Stone came back to IG later on Sunday, following up that post with another showing a picture of Kelly — and her husband, Bruce — during better times before COVID-19:
Heartbreaking…
With that photo, and in a subsequent video on Sunday evening (below), the Lovelace star further revealed more information about how testing simply wasn’t available to Kelly and Bruce at their Montana home, needlessly putting them “great risk of dying from COVID” during this pandemic. Stone also admitted that her sister “is not doing well” while fighting the disease now in the hospital, and added:
“The nurses in the hospital that are taking care of them can’t get tested, because they don’t have tests to test them with. Those nurses are risking their lives, and can’t get tested. The stress, the strain, the exhaustion that’s happening in that hospital is met with the conflict around the courthouse, where people are carrying guns and saying it’s their freedom not to have to wear a mask. This is the situation in Montana.”
Here’s that full video:
Sad and scary stuff… Sending all of our love and well wishes to Stone’s sister and her husband! Reactions, Perezcious readers?
