If only she knew someone good at solving crimes…
Sherlock: The Abominable Bride was one of the big winners at the 2016 Emmy Awards when it snatched Best TV Movie… but unfortunately, the cast wasn’t so lucky.
Not only did Benedict Cumberbatch lose Outstanding Lead Actor in a Limited Series to American Crime Story‘s Courtney B. Vance, but his costar Amanda Abbington actually lost her purse in all the commotion of the awards show!

Apparently, Martin Freeman‘s love interest (both on- and off-camera) says her bag was “nicked” when the cast went onstage to collect their award.
Mary Watson herself addressed the robbery while thanking her fans for their support on Twitter shortly after Sunday’s ceremony, saying:
Thanks for the lovely tweets re; the Emmy’s. So pleased we won! Cool, right?

However, we went up to collect the Emmy, did some press, came back to my seat and some bastard had nicked my purse from under my seat. Nice

Had my phone and driver’s licence in it. So whoever took my purse, I hope some terrible Karmic shit happens to you. How crappy is that.

We’ll sick the Hounds of Baskerville on them!

In all seriousness, this is super unfortunate given the entire room was supposed to be filled with Hollywood elite — who you’d imagine could afford to live without stealing.
Sticky-fingered seat filler? Or klepto TV star? We may never solve this mystery…
Still, congrats on the win, Amanda!
