Sin City 2 AND Machete 2 Are On! Director Robert Rodriguez Confirms It At SXSW!

FINALLY! It’s been SEVEN YEARS since the originial!
Robert Rodriguez took the trip to Austin (like us!) to announce new initiatives his production company has on the way, including Machete 2 (yes!) and Sin City 2 (YES!) at SXSW.
Rodriguez and Quick Draw Productions plan on shooting Machete 2 in April while Sin City 2 will likely begin in the summer.
Both of the original films had GREAT cast members such as Robert De Niro, Bruce Willis, Jessica Alba, Lindsay Lohan, Josh Hartnett and Mickey Rourke, and fans can expect the same in their sequels.
The director dished on a couple of animation projects too, as well as a brand-spanking new TV network highlighting South and Central American culture and a contest, VISIONary Young Directors, that searches for aspiring directors.
This is one BUSY guy! Who knew how successful he’d be after making El Mariachi with less than $7500!
