Just how much of an impact has Taylor Swift had on growing the Kansas City Chiefs‘ already massive fanbase?!
Way more than you probably realized! So much, in fact, that the Chiefs’ ownership group is actually documenting the team’s growth in various ways — and now they have the cold, hard data to back it up!
Yep, this is another case of the Taylor Swift effect in action… and we are SO here for it!

On Thursday, Gracie Hunt spoke with People about her life growing up in a football family, where her future with the Chiefs and the NFL may lie, and what she thinks about Travis Kelce‘s pop star girlfriend! As you may know, Gracie is the daughter of Chiefs CEO and Chairman Clark Hunt, and seems to be poised to take the reins for the uber-rich and well-connected family one day. So, she knows exactly the effect Taylor has had on the team’s fanbase!
When the mag asked about the 14-time Grammy winner’s backing of Kelce’s squad, Gracie said the Super Bowl-defending team’s fanbase has grown “between 30 and 40 percent” since Tay-Tay attended her first game back in September of 2023!
Holy s**t!!
Now, Taylor having an impact on the football world isn’t new news. Per Page Six, ahead of last February’s Super Bowl, a major poll came out that found 16% of all shoppers in the United States were influenced by Swift to spend some kind of money on the big game — be it for food, watch parties, etc.
Also, the New York Times reported last February that NFL regular season viewership was up 7% league-wide relative to the season before. Remember, we’re talking about the most popular sport in America already here. But Swift showing out in KC surged its numbers even HIGHER!
Back to Gracie, though. She called Swift’s entrance into the chaotic Arrowhead Stadium universe “special” and “surreal.” And she added:
“She is absolutely incredible, as the whole world knows, and it’s been such a special time to have her be a part of Chiefs Kingdom. She is just as beautiful and wonderful as you’d ever imagine her to be, so smart and intelligent.”

FYI, this isn’t the first time Gracie has spoken up about how much Taylor has helped the Chiefs gain new fans and followers. Back in December of 2023, the NFL scion went on OutKick the Morning and marveled at how the Karma crooner is bringing football to an entirely new demographic — young women! Gracie said at the time:
“I mean, [Taylor and Travis are] so easy for us to cheer for and for the entire world to cheer for because they’re wonderful for each other, and it’s just been so fun to watch this love story unfold. So, that’s just been so special to see how happy they are. And also to have so many young, especially female fans, watching football, interested in football and maybe considering playing flag football and also cheering for the Chiefs.”
Amen to that!
