How deep was Blake Lively‘s alleged betrayal of her BFF? We’re still trying to figure that out!
For those who didn’t hear the bombshell dropping this week, Taylor Swift was finally subpoenaed — but so were her lawyers and their communications. Why? Justin Baldoni‘s legal team revealed a bold accusation they want to prove: Blake tried to extort Taylor into putting out a public statement of support.
Bryan Freedman claimed — in a sworn affidavit, mind you — that a well-placed Tay source spilled the tea: Blake was upset about how bad it looked she wasn’t invited to the Super Bowl again earlier this year. So her legal team, on her behalf, sent a message to Tay’s lawyers, requesting a statement to fans. They implied, per Freedman’s source, that if she didn’t release a statement they’d go scorched earth and release Tay’s private texts with Blake! 10 years of private texts!
WTF. Seriously.

The question is, what would that really entail? What kind of dirt would Blake have from Tay’s texts for a decade? Naturally, our minds went to trash talking other artists and celebs. Friends do that in the safety of one another’s confidence — even nice ones. That could be damaging to release to the public.
Then we had another thought — what else do girlfriends share? Intimate details of their relationships. Girlfriends feel comfortable sharing all kinds of stuff about their boyfriends — complaints, bedroom tales, size comments. Heck, they could have shared of the truth behind breakups! Info Swifties have been speculating about for years!
Well, according to DailyMail.com, who did a little more digging, that second type of text? The intimate relationship details? That’s ABSOLUTELY on the table. Blake has the goods and — in theory, anyway — was willing to release it, sources told the outlet.
How far back is 10 years?
OK, obviously we’re talking details about her high profile romance with Travis Kelce. Stuff we’re sure everyone wants to know about. If she’s telling the VMAs audience how “everything this man touches turns to happiness and fun and magic,” what is she telling her bestie? We got the good kind of chills just thinking about it…
But go a bit further back. Blake would likely have the dirt behind whatever the hell was going on with Matty Healy, too! Was there some kind of on-and-off situationship for years? Did the 1975 rocker cause the end of her relationship?
Speaking of which, how about the story of the breakup with Joe Alwyn. They were together the bulk of those 10 years, Blake would have every bitch sesh on record, she’d know just how annoyed Tay really got (or didn’t) over his issues with the press. Those texts would tell quite a breakup story.
But you know what? 10 years goes even further back! Blake would also have had a front row seat to the short-lived Tom Hiddleston fling. Hiddleswift!
And even further back, Blake first became friends with Tay when she was still dating Calvin Harris. And didn’t he imply she cheated? Would Blake have the dirt on how that romance went sideways?
If the It Ends With Us star was will to dish all that… She was no kind of friend to Taylor. Right? We mean, it’s one thing to fight, to grow apart, even to end a friendship… But to betray your sis like that? No kind of friend at all.
