Taylor Swift is glad she patched things up with Blake Lively! But will that feeling last after the latest development in her longtime pal’s legal battle with Justin Baldoni?
If you kept up with the drama, you know the pop star was so upset she got dragged into the nasty lawsuit it looked like her longtime friendship with Blake could be at an end! Justin was the one who outed what Blake did — something Tay apparently had no idea about. The Gossip Girl alum invited Taylor to her place for a hang — just as her meeting with the It Ends With Us director was wrapping up. Blake was discussing her rewrite of a pivotal rooftop scene — which Taylor just so happened to have read, so she told Justin what she thought. Totally innocent friend support, right? Unless Blake set it up! Justin claimed it was actually an ambush to scare him into complying with what Blake wanted! And he had good evidence for it — since Ryan Reynolds‘ wife subsequently sent a veiled threat to him in text form, referencing Game of Thrones and describing Taylor as one of her “dragons”! Yeah, when Tay saw that she read it the same way as all of us. And she was NOT happy!

The whole thing resulted in a massive falling out. The Cruel Summer artist decided she needed a break from Blake after feeling “used”! Whoa!
But the rift didn’t last long! News broke earlier this month that the pair worked things out after the Green Lantern star issued a “genuine and heartfelt” apology. According to a new source for People on Friday, Blake never doubted they would resolve their issues:
“Blake knew she and Taylor would come back from this at some point and that their friendship wasn’t done for good.”
That “F” in BFF means something, y’all!
But Tay wasn’t quite so sure, by the sound of it. The betrayal impacted her to the point she reportedly started “taking stock of which of her friends are good for her and who name drops her for personal gain!” The People insider confirmed the Grammy winner “was really hurt” over the situation. So actually Blake got lucky Tay gave her another chance!
For her part, says the source, Taylor is “relieved” she got such a heartfelt apology and they were able to make amends:
“Taylor was really hurt by this situation, so she’s relieved they were able to recover from this and put it all behind them because it wasn’t something she took lightly.”
Well, the two pals can’t put the drama behind them yet! Taylor is likely to be subpoenaed soon to tell her side of the story about her involvement! The Evermore singer is reportedly upset about the update as she “does not want to be involved in Blake’s legal battle with Justin” whatsoever. So… does Taylor need to step back from her friendship with The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants actress again? Or just keep dodging the process server??
