ICYMI: Taylor Swift Is Definitely NOT In X-Men: Apocalypse! Of Course, That's What They Said About Wolverine...

Talk about a bummer!
Superheroes are SUPER popular right now; this year alone we’ve had a megahit in Deadpool, a massive opening and even bigger critical disappointment in Batman v Superman, and an already huge international week for the upcoming Captain America: Civil War!
But one comic book flick that still on the way is X-Men: Apocalypse, out at the end of the month.

This weekend, Bryan Singer‘s mutant sequel got some attention as Twitter went CRAZY reviving a rumor that Taylor Swift might be showing up in the film!
The original buzz all started last summer when producer Simon Kinberg tweeted this photo:

Despite the picture with James McAvoy and Sophie Turner, Turner shot down the rumors of Tay’s involvement in the film shortly thereafter.
However, Sophie made a mistake on Friday when she tweeted:

The pic from Apocalypse shows the redheaded beauty looking on as Tye Sheridan, who plays Scott Summers/Cyclops, holds up a Dazzler record.

Though the picture is intriguing, the biggest thing that fans took away from the tweet was the Game Of Thrones actress’ mention of Taylor’s 1989!
The picture and caption caused people to speculate that TayTay would be secretly doing a cameo as Dazzler — a mutant that has the ability to change sound vibrations into light and heat. If nothing else, the singer’s fans hoped she was at least pictured on the album cover!
Sadly, a source told E! News:

“She’s not in the film. And it’s not her on the Dazzler album cover from Sophie’s tweeted photo.”

Well there you have it. We guess our Swift dreams are dashed — unless Sophie learned a thing about trickery from Kit Harington from that whole Jon Snow thing!
What do you think of Sophie’s teasing tweet?!
