While recently-freed reality TV star Joe Giudice is Italy-bound, preparing to re-enter the workforce and presumably watch a little fútbol, his wife Teresa Giudice is busy keeping things going in Jersey… and she clearly couldn’t be bothered with the thought of moving out of the U.S.!
The Real Housewives of New Jersey superstar was busy on campus at Rutgers University on Saturday afternoon, enjoying the school’s football game at SHI Stadium in Piscataway, New Jersey against the University of Maryland. Of course, the Giudice’s daughter Gia attends Rutgers — and was at the game, too — so it’s clearly a chance for mom to enjoy the college life a little bit with no guilt!

TMZ has the pics from the outing; both Teresa and Gia look like they’re having quite the time doing their thing in the stands during the football game. They were maybe the only ones happy by the end of the day — Rutgers lost the home game 48-7, yikes — but if anything, the message sent by the dichotomy of their weekend compared to Joe’s is clear: America is where the fun is!
As we’ve been reporting, Joe was recently released from Immigration and Customs Enforcement custody and allowed by a judge to go back to Italy to work and make money for his family. This, while his potential deportation continues to be weighed out in the courts in the meantime. The thought being: at least he can help support his family as his case winds through court, and he’s eventually ordered to leave America or allowed to stay.
The other thing beyond clear here is how good life is in America for Teresa and the kids. With young ones still in school and Gia doing her thing in college already, it’s tough to imagine the reality TV star will want to move the fam to Italy depending on the outcome of Joe’s immigration case. You can’t as easily enjoy a Rutgers football weekend like this one from across the Atlantic Ocean now, can you??
Of course, months ago, Teresa all but confirmed she’d leave Joe if he were to be deported to Italy, so maybe it’s not a secret that her focus will remain stateside. And she’s apparently already worked out a visitation schedule for the reality TV hubby and the couple’s children, too — so it’s clear she’s put some thought into this and content to remain stateside no matter what!
If that’s the case, then, the writing is already on the wall, and Rutgers ain’t the only ones taking a proverbial beating this weekend… yikes!!! What do U think, Perezcious readers?! Is there any way Teresa ships off to Italy if Joe ends up being deported?? Will it all be over for these two or what??
