You know why? We’re going to see a new onscreen pairing of an unbelievably talented pop star (we hope) and an unbelievably HAWT actor (that’s pretty much a guarantee)!
The 1992 global box office hit that paired Kevin Costnerwith Whitney Houston, The Bodyguard, is being remade by Warner Bros. Pictures.
The original version, in case you haven’t seen it (but seriously, go see it!), was the tale of a Secret Service agent drafted to protect a singing diva whose life has been threatened by a stalker, then falling for her in a way he fears is a distraction from his job.
While the updated version will follow the same idea, the new bodyguard will be a former Iraq war veteran who gets the job protecting the star as his first gig after leaving the Army.
He discovers that the world of Twitter, Google Maps and TMZ has made access to celebrities easier than ever, making the job more difficult than ever.
There are sooo many possibilities and we are so excited to see who gets the role!
We can see Channing Tatum snagging the role of the Bodyguard and maybe Miley Cyrus taking on the role of the young singer.
But if they want a fresh face, our fav Kat Graham has the looks and the musical chops!
