Controversial. Intense. Fabulous.
The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo books and Swedish film have exploded through pop culture and the stars of the American version will try to deliver the same success.
Daniel Craig and rising star Rooney Mara landed the cover of Entertainment Weekly and director David Fincher made sure the new Lisbeth Salander was ready for what’s in store.
Mara recounts her conversation with Fincher:
There were certainly things I was scared to do, but I never thought I wasn├óΓé¼Γäót up for the challenge…the ├é┬¡motorcycle was the thing I ├é┬¡really didn├óΓé¼Γäót want to do. You know, you├óΓé¼Γäóre ├é┬¡going to be raped, be naked├óΓé¼┬ª But as soon as he was like, ├óΓé¼╦£You├óΓé¼Γäóre going to have to ride a motorcycle,├óΓé¼Γäó I was like, ├óΓé¼╦£Oh, really?├óΓé¼Γäó
Luckily for Rooney, her director is not shy towards controversy, having directed the racy Fight Club. Fans of Stieg Larsson‘s books will be keeping a hawk like eye on the American series, making sure nothing is left out and Fincher welcomes the challenge.
“We intend to earn our R [rating]. If you├óΓé¼Γäóve read the book, you know what I├óΓé¼Γäóm talking about.├óΓé¼┬¥
