After Jersey Shore’s The Situation was admitted to Cirque Lodge, rumors circulated around what he was actually seeking treatment for.
It had been recently reported that EVERYONE knew Sitch was in trouble — with MTV even threatening to replace him multiple times!
But now it seems The Situation’s problems were worse than we thought!!
While the reality star admitted he had been taking Xanax and Ambien, he left out one extremely powerful pain med — dilaudid.
A source reveals:
“Mike was taking unbelievable amounts of Dilaudid along with Xanax and Ambien. Mike was taking about 20-30 pills a day which easily could have killed him. Mike is very lucky that he didn’t overdose and die, because the amount of prescription drugs was that high and deadly. It was very easy for Mike to get the prescription drugs, and he got them from more than one doctor. It’s very likely that his physicians were unaware that he was taking all three of the prescription drugs.”
That is some SCARY stuff!!!
Not only was Mike abusing prescription pills, but he was pairing them with his other vice, alcohol.
The source goes on to say:
“Mike would also drink alcohol while he was taking the pills which obviously could have had a horrible outcome for him. Everyone around him is hopeful he will stay sober once he leaves Cirque Lodge.”
Wow.
We are glad Mike got help before something terrible occurred and we hope he will stay sober as well!
