In the latest clip from The Vampire Diaries‘ American Gothic episode, Rebekah (Claire Holt) and Katherine (Nina Dobrev) take a seat at a diner for a little t├â┬¬te-├â┬á-t├â┬¬te.

“I want a normal life again,” Rebekah says, to which Katherine, always ready with a response, replies:

“You mean you want a do-over. Well, guess what, you can’t have it. The cure will only take away your immortality. Everything else you hate about yourself, you’ll still wake up with that in the morning. And you won’t even be able to compel yourself a friend.”

Well, she├óΓé¼Γäós sure as hell got a way with words. But Rebekah strikes back with brute, Original vampire force — that is, until they’re interrupted by those seksi Salvatores…
