It starts out like they’re throwing shade her way, but at the end of it all, she got a far better recommendation than Christina Aguilera!
The Wanted have already caused a bit of stir for slamming The Voice judge’s attitude during their appearance on the reality show, and now, they’ve opened up about opening for Britney Spears during the Manchester tour date of her Femme Fatale tour…and it seems as though her security team had some pretty diva-licious demands!
As Siva Kaneswaran explained:
├óΓé¼┼ôI was in the hallway with me tour manager. Basically we were looking with a laptop, trying to get wifi├óΓé¼┬ªfacing the middle of the hallway. [Britney’s] bouncers came down with her and told us to face the wall. We turned around and I faced a wall for about 10 seconds until she got really far away.├óΓé¼┬¥
More than a little ridiculous, right?!
But according to Jay McGuinness, once they actually got to look her face-to-face, it was a completely different story!
He explains:
“But honestly when we actually met her person to person, she was so down to earth. You can tell she’s a total southern girl and Nathan, when he was a kid, won a singing competition. She was one of the judges or something. And she gave him a kiss, it was one of his first kisses as a kid. So he got to meet her again and support her.”

And we’re glad they had such a nice time with her – after the whole wall incident anyway!
We know it’s her security team’s job to make sure she’s safe, but here’s hoping they loosen up on that rule in the future! At least when it comes to her tour openers! Ha!

Britney’s rep has released the following statement:
“What’s even more interesting than the false allegations they made is the fact that they have claimed to be picked on by two female pop stars in just a few days. Look out Lady Gaga ├óΓé¼ΓÇ£ there are still three days left this week.”
Ouch! Burn!
Guess these guys aren’t making many friends with the female pop world!
