Tim Tebow may have just started playing pro baseball, but it already looks like he’s ready for the major leagues!
On Wednesday, the former quarterback hit a home run during his first at-bat as a professional player in the New York Mets instructional league!
The 29-year-old hit the homer on the first pitch he saw in the game against the St. Louis Cardinals‘ minor league team, causing fans to go crazy! (Probably a slightly smaller crowd than he’s used to├óΓé¼┬ª)

Though he’s one of the oldest players in the instructional league games in Florida, Tebow’s great first impression at the plate is a good sign the superstar athlete could advance through the Mets’ system at full speed.
Unfortunately, the hot streak didn’t continue for the 255-pound outfielder, who grounded out in his second at-bat… oh well! That’s still batting .500!
But since the ex-NFL champ hasn’t been playing ball since his junior year of high school in 2005, we don’t blame for being a little rusty!
