As fans may remember, just hours after BH90210 was announced back in March, news of the actor’s stroke had struck. Heartbreakingly, he passed away mere days later. Recalling the day, of the Fox show announcement Spelling shared:

“It was a day of the greatest high and the greatest low.”

Garth added:

“It brought us together on such a deep level. Many times during the filming I thought, ‘He would be so happy right now to see us.'”

We can only imagine!

While Perry never signed on to work on the reboot as he was a series regular on Riverdale, playing the role of Fred Andrews AKA Archie Andrews’ dad, he did speak to Spelling, Garth, and more about the project.

Tori, 46, spilled:

“Luke was on speakerphone for the first meeting. He was so supportive, and really proud that we were putting it together. He was like, ‘Don’t lose your vision,’ ‘stick to your guns.’ Basically he told us to do what we set out to do and not change our minds.”

We’re not crying, you’re crying!

These two executive producers, in addition to their costars Jason Priestley, Gabrielle Carteris, Shannen Doherty, Ian Ziering, and Brian Austin Green have all joined forces once again, and continue to reminisce about their former cast member.

Garth spoke about reuniting:

“Life came full circle, and we’re stuck with each other at this point. Not to say we don’t have our ups and downs, but we love each other, and we’re like family. And there’s a reason that, 30 years later, we’re all back together again.”

As we previously reported, BH90210 has been imitating life, with the premiere poking fun at Spelling’s real life money problems.

At one point, the actress looked at her friend and costar Jennie, saying:

“Stuff just keeps happening to me! And just when I think things are slowing down, boom, I fall on a hibachi.”

The Donna Martin portrayer was referencing her 2015 Benihana lawsuit, which was filed after she slipped and fell on a grill in the Encino, California location.

The momma of five continued, also alluding to the Operation Varsity Blues college bribery scandal which Lori Loughlin and Felicity Huffman Macy are currently caught up in, as a way she would have to get her fictional children into college:

“I need that paycheck. Mama’s got six kids! Do you know how much college bribery money I’m going to need? At least this reunion is going to cover our bills for a month!”

Have y’all been watching BH90210 when it airs Wednesdays at 8 p.m. ET on Fox??
