Holy sh*t!
True Blood totally shocked us with ANOTHER major death last night — just three episodes into the final season.
And THIS character was one of our favs, EVERRR!

Let’s be real for a sec — it’s never been safe to be friends with Sookie Stackhouse, since pretty much all of her pals die!
Side note – R.I.P Tara (we’re still mourning!)
So as soon as Alcide Herveaux aka Joe Manganiello was caught cozying up with the desirable faerie, we knew it would spell trouble!
Unfortunately, our beefy werewolf died on Sunday’s episode, meeting his maker from a no-name character’s gunshot wound to the head!
In an interview following last night’s airing, Joe revealed the particular way he was killed STILL surprises him:
“Getting shot in the head by some nameless, faceless hillbilly, dying naked in the woods on the ground and then being in Malibu when it was about 30 degrees out and try not to shiver? [Laughs] That’s not exactly how I saw it going down, but I guess it’s better than giving one of the vampires the bragging rights.”
He also sent out a heartfelt tweet to all his fans, in hysterical mourning:

Anna Paquin even joined in on the tear-fest, leaving her most drama-free relationship with silly parting words:

So now that Alcide is dunzo, it leaves Sookie free to wrap up her weird triangle romance with Eric and Bill, which we know is going to go up in flames!
