Country music is one of the few thriving genres in America, and Jessica Simpson, whose last CD bombed, wants a piece of that!
According to new reports, Jess’ daddy/manager, Joe Simpson, proclaims that the ‘singer’ is close to completing her first country album and is looking at doing a reality show on CMT.
Jess probably hopes the CMT show will have a ‘Newlywed effect’ on her career…i.e. give her a career again.
The elder Simpson recruited some big names to work on her country album. She duets with Dolly Parton on one track and is joined on another by Willie Nelson.
John Shanks, who’s worked with Sheryl Crow and Kelly Clarkson, and Brett James (Carrie Underwood) are producing.
Could be interesting.
We actually think the reality show idea would be good for Jessica. Coming full circle.
