Isaiah Washington bid adieu to Grey’s Anatomy 7 years ago after producers fired him for using a gay slur towards his co-star T.R. Knight TWICE!
But Dr. Preston Burke will be returning to the series in May during Sandra Oh’s farewell episode!
Will it be a welcome return to Seattle Grace Hospital for him?
Perhaps he should study up on how some other TV characters made triumphant returns to the shows they once left!
Like George Clooney!
He played a television drama doc on E.R. too, but then became WAY too famous for TV. But not too famous to return for a few cameo appearances before the show finally died in 2009.
