Prison Break's Wentworth Miller Encourages LGBT Youth To Love Themselves In Inspiring New Message

Wentworth Miller is certainly an inspiration.
As you surely know, the Prison Break alum proudly confirmed his sexuality back in 2013 and is now giving wise advice to youths in the LGBT community about coming out. The main point he’s pushing? It does get easier.

For Attitude magazine’s 2016 Awards issue, the 44-year-old told fans who may be struggling with coming out:

“I would say what others have said: It gets better one day, you’ll find your tribe. You just have to trust that people are out there waiting to love you and celebrate you for who you are.”

Well said! However, Miller didn’t dance around the fact that things may be hard for some once they come out. He added:

“In the meantime, the reality is you might have to be your own tribe. You might have to be your own best friend. That’s not something they’re going to teach you in school. So start the work of loving yourself.”

We’re not crying, you are!
Not to mention, we have a feeling Wentworth may be talking about himself as he’s struggled with suicidal urges and depression since a young age. As you may recall, the Underworld actor opened up about his mental health struggles earlier this year after a viral meme unfairly fat shamed him.
People can be so cruel, can’t they? Despite his hardships, the British hottie has been quite the advocate for mental health and LGBT issues. And tbh, we couldn’t be prouder of Wentworth.
Here’s hoping others are as moved by Miller’s words as we are!
