Oprah Winfrey has nothing but praise for her Whitney Houston interview set to air on September 14.
“I can’t think of a moment, ever, when I had a stronger connection to the person I was interviewing,” Oprah raves.
Sounds like it’s gonna be good!!!!
The Big O hasn’t divulged too much information about what went down, but we know that Whitney does talk about Bobby Brown, drugs, rehab and her family, all in part to promote the recent release of her new comeback album, I Look To You.
Apparently, they talked A LOT since the interview was Whit’s reasoning for her lackluster performance on Good Morning America.
“I just wanted to be able to have an honest conversation with her. One woman to another woman,” says Oprah. “And the day of the interview I literally prayed about that all day long. I just wanted a connection between the two of us. And that is what happened. And that is why I believe it’s one of the most, if not the most, powerful interviews I’ve ever done.”
Well, it has to have gone better than the pop diva’s last trainwreck interview with Diane Sawyer.
Oprah continues, “I think whether you liked or loved Whitney Houston before you will certainly have a deeper appreciation for what she has been through as a human being. And I mean the fans are just going to love her even more.”
Can’t wait!
Will U be watching?
