For one woman who felt like she was taken advantage of by Girls Gone Wild, justice has been served — in the form of a $5.8 million paycheck!
Tamara Favazza sued the maker of the classy Girls Gone Wild Sorority Orgy DVD series in 2010. She claimed that her breasts were shown in one of the installments without her permission because someone lifted her shirt at a St. Louis bar in 2005.
She initially lost the case two years ago when the jury sided with the video company, but a retrial was granted and St. Louis Circuit Judge John Garvey awarded her patience with a giant check.
Whether she actually gets it or not is another story. The defendants filed motions on Wednesday to set aside the judgement and are asking for another trial.
Looks like it’s going to be best two out of three! Good luck, gurl!
UPDATE: We want to note that Joe Francis did NOT personally take advantage of this woman. While Girls Gone Wild is his company, he had no personal involvement with her.
