Kanye Returns To The Studio!

wenn5365918_e.jpg

Looks like the Kanye West is OVA!

The rapper has just announced via his blog that he is heading back to the studio to create some new tracks.

Says 'Nye:

FIRST OF ALL, I WANT TO THANK EVERYBODY FOR THEIR CONSTANT LOVE AND SUPPORT OVER THESE PAST 6 YEARS! I'M SO HAPPY TO BE BACK IN THE STUDIO MAKING NEW MUSIC. I WILL BRING YOU THE BEST I HAVE TO OFFER WITH THE SAME DEDICATION THAT KOBE HAS ON THE COURT. IT'S FUNNY HOW SO MANY RAPPERS GET WORSE AS THEIR CAREERS STRETCH OUT BUT TRUE POETS GET BETTER. WE WILL FOLLOW IN THE FOOTSTEPS OF MAYA ANGELOU, GILL SCOTT HERRON AND NINA SIMONE. THEIR WORK IMPROVED WITH TIME. THEY DOCUMENTED WHAT WAS HAPPENING IN CULTURE. THAT IS OUR RESPONSIBILITY AS THE MODERN DAY ARTISTS AND POETS, TO ACCURATELY REPRESENT WHAT IS HAPPENING NOW, SO WHEN THE POWERS THAT BE TRY TO REWRITE HISTORY YOU CAN ALWAYS LOOK AT OUR WORKS AND FIND TRUTH AND SINCERITY IN A WORLD OF PROCESSED INFORMATION. LET US SOAK IN POSITIVE FORCES AND LOOK DOWN ON UPON THOSE WHO MASQUERADE AS TRUTH TELLERS AND OBJECTIVE FACT GIVERS WHEN IN REALITY EVERYTHING THAT IS PROJECTED HAS AN AGENDA OF BRAINWASHING US, THE "CONSUMER", THE PUBLIC, TO BELIEVE WHAT THEY WANT US TO. LET US LOOK PAST HEADLINES AND DEAL WITH JUST A BIT OF REALITY IN THIS NEW DECADE. WE HAVE OUR OWN OUTLETS NOW. WE DON'T HAVE TO BELIEVE EVERYTHING ANYMORE. NOW I'LL FIGURE OUT A WAY TO MAKE THAT RYHME LOL!!!

Exciting!

Think he'll rap about that microphone stealing incident???

John Mayer Defends Cameron's Fan Tirade!

jamesjohn.jpg

After James Cameron was caught on tape screaming profanities at an autograph seeker, John Mayer couldn't help but put his two cents in!

Probably because it had been a good hour since Mayer saw his name in print.

The singer took to his blog to defend Cameron, calling the guy who got yelled at an "Obnoxious E-bay Poster Guy," who is involved in a conspiracy with the airlines and journalists to make celebrities look bad.

No excuse for you, Mayer! You don't need anything to help you look bad.

Buffy Creator Wants The Terminator!

jossswenn5352818.jpg

News has circled the Internet that the Terminator franchise is up for sale for the highest bidder.

Shockingly enough, Arnold Schwarzenegger has yet to put a bid in. (He could resell it for some much needed funds for California.)

However, another man in Hollywood is after the franchise and we think he might just be a decent option. Buffy creator, Joss Whedon, is looking to take the reins of the Terminator and bring it to his Whedonverse.

In an effort to make that happen, he has written this open letter as his official bid:

An Open Letter to the Terminator Owners From a Very Important Hollywood Mogul

I am Joss Whedon, the mastermind behind Titan A.E., Parenthood (not the movie) (or the new series) (or the one where 'hood' was capitalized ’cause it was a pun), and myriad other legendary tales. I have heard through the 'grapevine' that the Terminator franchise is for sale, and I am prepared to make a pre-emptive bid RIGHT NOW to wrap this dealio up. This is not a joke, this is not a scam, this is not available on TV. I will write a check TODAY for $10,000, and viola! Terminator off your hands.

No, you didn't miscount. That's four — FOUR! — zeroes after that one. That's to show you I mean business. And I mean show business. Nikki Finke says the Terminator concept is played. Well, here's what I have to say to Nikki Finke: you are a fine journalist and please don't ever notice me. The Terminator story is as formative and important in our culture — and my pretend play — as any I can think of. It's far from over. And before you Terminator-Owners (I have trouble remembering names) rush to cash that sweet cheque, let me give you a taste of what I could do with that franchise:

1) Terminator… of the Rings! Yeah, what if he time-travelled TOO far… back to when there was dragons and wizards? (I think it was the Dark Ages.) Hasta La Vista, Boramir! Cool, huh? "Now you gonna be Gandalf the Red!" RRRRIP! But then he totally helps, because he's a cyborg and he doesn't give a s#&% about the ring — it has no power over him! And he can carry it AND Frodo AND Sam AND f@%& up some orcs while he's doing it. This stuff just comes to me. I mean it. (I will also offer $10,000 for the Lord of the Rings franchise).

2) More Glau. Hey. There's a reason they're called "Summer" movies.

3) Can you say… musical? Well don't. Even I know that's an awful idea.

4) Christian Bale's John Connor will get a throat lozenge. This will also help his Batwork (ten grand for that franchise too, btw.)

5) More porn. John Connor never told Kyle Reese this, but his main objective in going to the past was to get some. What if there's a lot of future-babies that have to be made? Cue wah-wah pedal guitar — and dollar signs!

6) The movies will stop getting less cool.

Okay. There's more — this brain don't quit! (though it has occasionally been fired) — but I think you get my drift. I really believe the Terminator franchise has only begun to plumb the depths of questioning the human condition during awesome stunts, and I'd like to shepherd it through the next phase. The money is there, but more importantly, the heart is there. But more importantly, money. Think about it. End this bloody bidding war before it begins, and put the Terminator in the hands of someone who watched the first one more than any other movie in college, including "Song of Norway" (no current franchise offer).

Sincerely, Joss Whedon.

Sounds like a plan to us!

If his offer seems to low, we'd be happy to chip in to help him out. We see some great things coming out of this.

How does $10 sound?

That's right - there is a zero after that one. Don't get too excited!

Gabrielle Union's Rape Confession!

wenn2221242.jpg

In the aftermath of the unfathomable gang rape in Richmond, Gabrielle Union became outraged and disgusted by the lack of seriousness dedicated to the issue. As a result, she offered her own experience on the subject.

She said:

So as I'm on the way to shoot Chelsea Lately…I'm sad more than anything. After googling the gang rape story in Richmond and reading comments on blogs, it just leaves me sickened and really sad. The fact that race and socio-economics have been used to explain away a brutal gang rape…just sad…maybe I just have seen every kind of rapist and survivor….every race, color, religion, socio-economic status group…it's all the same…a lack of regard for violence against women. Tolerated, and in this case encouraged by the mob surrounding the perps…laughing, joking and taking pics.

When I was 19 years old, I was raped. I was working at a shoe store in California, and the store was robbed. The person robbing the store ended up putting a gun to my head and raping me. As he was raping me, I felt as though I was floating over myself, thinking, 'This isn't happening.' I blanked out and had an out-of-body experience, like I was hovering above seeing this horrible thing happen to someone else…not me. I was fortunate enough to go the UCLA rape crisis center after this horrific ordeal. It gave me my life back. My dignity and self-esteem were gone and they helped me find them again. That’s why I now lobby for state legislatures across the country and the federal government to help raise funds and awareness for rape crisis centers, and I speak to all different kinds of people across the country about what happened to me. My goal is to never hear the words ‘me too’ from someone after I say ‘I was raped.’

xo
Gabrielle

Amen!

Carrie Fisher Provides Wisdom & Learns Not To Google Yourself

wenn2560759-carrie.jpg

Princess Leia is pissed! People are calling her names and she is calling them out. Carrie Fisher took to her all too unfrequented blog to discuss something she found appalling - herself!

She broke a sacred rule of celebrity that states you should never Goggle yourself unless you want your self esteem to plummet. Nevertheless, Carrie did and what she read prompted this blog post, which we think just happens to be HIGHalrious:

Weight AND Wisdom!

I thought that I’d forgotten one of the things I was thinking of writing about, but now I remember………at least I think I do…… One thing is that I foolishly Googled myself last nite—–because the Enquirer has been trying to get me to confirm some asinine thing I said as a bad joke AGES ago, & I wanted to see if had shown up somewhere—- which it hadn’t—– until now, when I stupidly call attention to this non event here——- ANYWAY—–in the process of searching, I found that someone had posted that I USED to be hot, but that now I looked like Elton John. As much as I attempted to place myself above the reach of this observation……

I must admit that…..yup……. This ended up hurting my feelings—–all 7 of them.

You see, I was hot when most people are hot—- in my fucking 20’s & part of my 30’s……THEN, in an effort to imitate humans, I had a child &, to further maintain my life like disguise, I took medications for about 9 thousand years, &, despite all my efforts, I continued to get older & older——inadvertently, I assure you———-I tried to arrest my development physically as WELL as emotionally, but unfortunately without as much success. I also must confess that I ate food. I’m sorry….. I realize that I promised never to eat anything but lettuce & sun flower seeds, but tragically, I was unable to keep my promise.

Yes, I realize…..I KNOW that I vowed to exercise for 3 hours a day—-aerobics, pilates AND yoga, but alas, I admit with a large quota of shame, that I failed to fulfill this other important commitment.

NO, I shouldn’t look as if 30 years have passed. I understand completely if you can’t find it in your heart to forgive me for looking like 3 decades have passed…….Of COURSE you should mock & belittle me for being so large!! What else could you POSSIBLY do?????!? I’ve let you down by treating my body as though it were just some giant sad sack that I use to haul my personality around. You have every right to compare me to Yoda or Elton or Kirstie…….I’ve brought it on myself.

But here’s this thing that I found myself wondering………what the fuck do YOU look like??!

I know i don’t really have the right to ask……I’m a public figure——Ive made an unspoken contract to keep that figure slim…….but still, I find myself wondering…….See, I think the folks that insult & mock celebrities who DARE to pack on ten pounds or—–God forbid——MORE than ten!…..I would think it only fair that they post a photo of themselves along with their poisonous observations! And you know what else would be SUPER cool??? Their IQ! ALL the numbers! An approximate count of Weight AND wisdom!

And as a teeny aside—–my show on Broadway is not about my appearance. Oh sure, I’m killing myself trying to lose weight before I open so I won’t offend any theater goers eyes while attempting to entertain them via their ears…… But just in case I don’t achieve my goal of keeping my promise to look 25 & instead manage to remind you of bulbous slugs or gay, iconic musicians……..

I’d like to take this opportunity to offer this quasi poignant explanation & to say to those of you I’ve visually offended…… from the bottom of my heart encased in fat——-

BLOW MY BIG BOVINE tiny dancer COCK!

We now return to our regular programing……

XxOoCf

What a send-off at the end there! And way to go plugging your Broadway show right in the middle of your angry rant. Very classy!

Thoughts?

Kelly Thinks Kanye Is An A-hole

wenn5330460kc.jpg

Kelly Clarkson had some words for Kanye West after last night's fiasco at the VMAs and naturally she took it to her blog to express herself, saying:

Dear Kanye,

What happened to you as a child?? Did you not get hugged enough?? Something must have happened to make you this way and I think we’re all just curious as to what would make a grown man go on national television and make a talented artist, let alone teenager, feel like shit. I mean, I’ve seen you do some pretty shitty things, but you just keep amazing me with your tactless, asshole ways. It’s absolutely fascinating how much I don’t like you. I like everyone. I even like my asshole ex that cheated on me over you…which is pretty odd since I don’t even personally know you. The best part of this evening is that you weren’t even up for THIS award and yet you still have a problem with the outcome. Is winning a moon man that much of a life goal?? You can have mine if it will shut you up. Is it that important, really??

I was actually nominated in the same category that Taylor won and I was excited for her…so why can’t you be?? I’m not even mad at you for being an asshole…I just pity you because you’re a sad human being.

On a side note, Beyonce has always been a class act and proved again tonight that she still is. Go TEXAS!!

Taylor Swift, you outsell him ….that’s why he’s bitter. You know I love your work! Keep it up girl!

KC

Girlfriend makes a valid point, just look at the numbers!

Kanye, people are PISSED at you and we're not sure if your "apology" is going to cut it!

Shanna vs Travis: Moakler Takes To Her MySpace Blog Again!!!

wenn2432630__opt1.jpg

Here we go again!

As you'll read, this is the third time Shanna Moakler has taken to her MySpace blog to personally address the issues being speculated upon concerning her and her ex Travis Barker.

We commend her for using her blog - it shows she is willing to write more than 140 characters defending herself.

Here is what Shanna wrote:

Enough.

Current mood: annoyed

This is about the 3rd time I have had to come to my blog to defend myself when dealing with my ex. I have said over and over I do not find playing personal relations in the media anything I want to be a part of! I have taken great strides to not be a part of it or the mudslinging have tried to bite my tongue and be the one to take the higher road for some time now. AGAIN I am backed into a corner, I will not bash my ex, as that IS the father of my two children and someone regardless what he thinks, I love very much and will always love. relationships change, people grow apart and life takes you different places. No matter how close the general public may think they are to two people. you never know what truly goes on behind closed doors and it is wrong to judge on either part.

I am VERY aware that one day my children will grow up and read what is on the internet. THAT is why I have tried every avenue to stop the abusive and false accusations which only hurts them in the long run, I have also tried to change how I interact on the internet as well.

let me make something else very clear and the fact I AGAIN have to do this, is vile. I have a ZERO tolerance for pedophiles and if you touch a child in my eyes, you should be sterilized. you're rights taken away. I think it is not only ABSURD to suggest I would ever allow my child remotely near such a thing. this accusation is false and cruel and publicly damaging. not to mention I also have blogged and wrote my senators to help pass the child protection ACT.

I think running to social networks to slander others only draws negative attention, begins falsehoods for both parties. I have cooperated with my ex in every measure he has asked. I allowed my children to go on tour for 4 weeks with their father, I make visitation as easy as possible, I am even willing to take a tour bus home to ease his tensions with the children flying, a 3 days drive, I have worked with our family attorneys to sign any stipulations to put to rest any insecurities he may have, many which I believe stem from my ex's horrible plane crash and the post traumatic syndrome he suffers from.

I also have another daughter from a previous relationship before Travis, and I know what it takes to keep a child happy and healthy, well balanced and loved through a public break up. I also work with my first ex and have over the past 10 years and have never had an issue. I make great strides everyday to ensure the well being of my kids, so they can grow into confident healthy adults. I do not post pictures of my kids on the internet anymore, I keep them away from the paparazzi, I live outside of LA to give them as much "normalcy" as possible. I wish I was able to give my children the childhood i had growing up including their parents being together. Living in the spotlight and going through a divorce changes that. Such is life. I am still VERY confident in my ability to give them the well balanced, beautiful childhood they deserve, and have. Free of public humiliation and anyone who truly knows me personally or has seen me with my children knows this. I am a AMAZING mother, who loves and will protect her children fiercely! any other notion would be simply ridiculous!

s.xoxo

Surprisingly well said.

What do U think?

From The Desk Of JoJo

awenn-jojo__opt.jpg

JoJo is clearing up all the legal dramz, y'all!

Upon the announcement that Jo will be suing her record label, Da Family Entertainment, to be let out of her contract + $500k in damages for putting her in "musical limbo," so to say.

Da Family Entertainment has refused to release her from her contract, but won't let the poor girl put out a new album!

JoJo has taken to her offical blog to discuss the matter at hand and clear up any rumors floating around!

Writes Jo:

"When I sat down to write this blog I turned on one of my favorite albums, Jill Scott's "Who is Jill Scott?", thinking it might mellow me out, calm me down, and give me the focus to articulate all that I want to say. After all, for me, music has the power to change my mood and help me through every time in my life. Music can/will/has/does make me happy/sad/mad/passionate/energetic/etc. Music is my life. The thought of not being able to express myself through music is devastating to me!

Recently I had to make one of the toughest decisions in my career thus far. It's a long drawn out story, but I wont bore you with all the gory details… lol.

For the past year and a half I've been diligently cooperating with my record label(s) so I can have the opportunity to continue with my career and do what I love the most; create music and sing. I've been a patient team player and have done everything that was asked and/or expected of me. As you may already know, my record company has been going through a major transition and unfortunately all of the artists on the label have been forced to sit on the sidelines and wait. I exhausted every option and exercised much patience before reaching my final decision to file a formal complaint with the court.

My situation is a bit a-typical. It is not a case where the artist loves the material they are making, is set in his or her ways, will not take direction or advice, and will not cooperate with the label. This is NOT the case at all. I've been blessed to receive great feedback from the record company in response to the music I've been delivering. But unfortunately I have become a victim of industry politics that honestly have nothing to do with me personally or professionally. Because of this, I am willing to fight for what I love and ultimately for the chance to regain control of my livelihood and my life.

I cant wait for the day when I can share the music that me and the album's contributors have created. I am so anxious to get back to what really matters. I didn't get into this industry for anything else other than my absolute passion for and love of MUSIC. At 12 years old when my mom and I signed the contracts, I could never have imagined that there would be so many other, far less attractive aspects to this business. However, at the end of the day I hold no animosity towards my record company(s). I learned from an early age that this is a business and it is NOT personal.

I love and appreciate every single person who has stuck by me and supported me through these trying times, particularly my fans. I love you guys so much and I couldn't get through this without you. As I've mentioned in previous blogs, I really look forward to speaking more candidly about this time in my life and most importantly, delivering the music that has taken such a long time to come out. I will not rest until my goals are actualized.

Thanks again for your encouragement and your patience!
xoooxoooo
-Jo"

Stay strong, girlie!

When all is said and done, you're doing the right thing!
