Pals beg Amy to go to rehab
IT looks like AMY WINEHOUSE’s mates are as worried about her as everyone else.
Pals begged the singer to ditch her wild ways at what looked like a rehab-style intervention meeting in a London restaurant on Thursday night.
But she refused to listen and stormed off, leaving one in tears.
Other diners in the tiny Mem & Laz restaurant in Islington witnessed the painful scene.
One told me: “Amy arrived at about 8.30pm and joined four girls. They looked like old schoolfriends rather than showbiz types. It was one of their birthdays so it began all jolly.
“Amy ordered a vodka and 7-Up and a bottle of champagne and got stuck into both. She didn’t order any food at all. It turned serious pretty quickly. They were huddled around in deep conversation.
“At around 9pm, just half an hour after she arrived, Amy got up and left.
“Two of the girls followed her outside, but she ran off.
“Then one of them started crying. They were going on about how they had ‘never seen her this bad’ and saying she was a total mess.
“They were despairing about what to do. One was going, ‘She needs to get help. We have to keep trying until she does.’
“It was horrible. Her mates clearly love her and were really worried and upset.”
In a further blow to Amy, she has been forced to cancel an appearance at 'T in the Park' due to 'exhaustion'.
A statement reads: "Following a year of touring and promotion Amy has been advised by a doctor to take time off to rest."
One disgruntled fan at the Scottish festival told Bizarre: "I feel really let down, one of the reasons I came here was to see Amy.
"It's about time she started putting her fans before her partying."
Yesterday I revealed how Amy cancelled a gig this week citing “exhaustion”, only to be spotted in her local, The Hawley Arms, with husband Blake Fielder-Civil.
Isn't it time you started listening to your , family, friends AND fans, Amy?
