The limited engagement begins September 30th in Oakland, California and will take her to six markets total, wrapping up October 11th in New York City. The other markets on Kylie's "For You, For Me" tour include Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Chicago and Toronto.

(New York, NY – May 6, 2009) – North American fans of international pop superstar Kylie Minogue will finally get a chance to experience the icon live in concert when her 6-city tour kicks off in Oakland, CA on September 30th (full schedule below). Over the course of her extraordinary 20-year-career, Minogue has been a global force in pop music with more than 40 million albums sold worldwide, 50 hit singles including the U.S. Billboard dance-chart toppers “Can’t Get You Our of My Head,” “Love At First Sight,” “Slow,” and the Grammy-Award winning “Come Into My World,” countless awards and accolades including an OBE from the Queen and 8 sold-out world tours including last year’s KylieX2008 tour which traveled to 21 countries throughout Europe, South America, Dubai, Asia, New Zealand and Australia, generating and estimated $70,000,000 in ticket sales. Kylie couldn’t be more excited about her first tour through North America.
“I’ve wanted to tour in America and Canada for years and know that fans have been waiting a long time for this,“ said Minogue. “I’m thrilled that the opportunity has finally arrived.”
The tour is being produced by Los Angeles-based concert promotion firm Bill Silva Presents (BSP). Company CEO Bill Silva commented, “Kylie has such a successful career outside of North America that it has taken quite a while to find a window in her schedule for the U.S. and Canada. Her amazing fans in North America will be well rewarded for their patience when they experience her show and its entire spectacle. We are confident in the tour’s success, and hope that Kylie will make this the first of many tours to our shores.”
Tickets will go on sale in each market on the weekend of May 15, however early access to tickets in the U.S. will be available to American Express Cardmembers beginning this Thursday, May 7, through Ticketmaster. Members of Kylie.com's mailing list will receive an email that contains information of special ticket pre-sale offers.
Kylie’s last visit stateside was in early 2008 with a promotional trip to support the release of her 10th studio album X (Astralwerks/Capitol) in which she performed on Ellen, Dancing With The Stars and the Late Late Show With Craig Ferguson. Kylie has since toured the globe with KylieX2008, hosted the prestigious Brit Awards, earned her 5th Grammy® nomination, released a range of bed linen called “Kylie at Home,” released her 5th fragrance “Couture,” released Boombox: The Remix Album 2000-2008, and traveled to Mumbai to participate in the most expensive Bollywood feature film ever made entitled “Blue.” In addition to a cameo role in the film, Kylie performs the main musical number written and recorded with internationally renowned composer AR Rahman. The original source is wrong… Kylie's sold more than 69million albums and 70million singles to date (Brit Acadamy figures). She's also about the only female artist to actually sing live for 2 1/2 hours solid flawlessly.

Something about Kylie caught my eye and I watched her Showgirl performance for a week straight, every day after work for a half hour at a time until the weekend, then I watched the whole show all over again without any interruptions!
What a performance she gave I loved her Showgirl performance it was the best show I ever saw! Since then I have bought 11 more of her albums and I love all the songs on them, I have more albums of Kylie’s then any other singer I listen to!
I think that Kylie coming to the USA is a dream come true and I can’t wait to see her live!
Her music is so exciting that I listen to her sing while I’m out jogging!
There is no other singer that can motivate or inspire me this way when I run in the Komen race I listen to her sing, and I make a special wish for her! Because of Kylie I’ve become a serious runner and I’m now training to run my first marathon, it’s going to take a lot of work and some very good music to listen to!

Kylie plays absolutely huge venues the world over. I guess with the economic climate being what it is it is very smart to schedule a very limited tour at smaller venues and add more dates as they become necessary. I will be seeing her in Las Vegas where seating is only for 3000, so it will be a fairly intimate performance. After all these years and sold-out tours around the world it is an absolute treat to have Kylie finally coming to the US. And it'll be a lot of fun to share our good fortune with a house packed full of dedicated Kylie fans. The last thing Kylie needs is more money, and the smaller venues are sure to sell out. She has sold out in the UK and Australia in some of the fastest times of any current musician. Lovely news and a super event to anticipate to the max!!!

These people saying she is a hasbeen probably are Madonna´s fans. Kylie´s tour on last year visited 34 countries in FOUR continents (not only Europe), grossed $70 million and resulted in 75 shows (almost all of them sold-out). And she sings LIVE 28 songs in more than 2 hours of show, which is more than any other pop female singer have been doing ultimately. If you don´t like her, at least get some more accurate information.

I never thought this would happen! I got an email the morning pre-sale tickets went up saying i could buy them and jumped on it, they were sold out 10 minutes later. People on here really have to stop hating on Kylie, I know its your personal opinion, but honestly, if you listened to all of her songs, watched her perform, her music videos and such, she is really a WoWer. She has addicting music, nothing of hers gets old. I also love that she seems like such a genuine artist, something not a lot of celebrities have.
