Everyone at MTV must be breathing a sigh of relief. They needed this to be a hit badly.

Viewership for the big show was up 23% over last year! 7.1 million people watched the VMAs on Sunday.

She may be the ultimate fuck-up, but people are still curious about Britney Spears. Those who have decried her career as “dead” may have predicted so foolishly.

Her new album won’t do anywhere near what her previous efforts did, but we don’t think it will totally bomb either.

So when is she gonna do that sit-down interview with Oprah?????
