UK audiences seeing rapper Ne-Yo's "performance" at Mercy nightclub in Norwich on Sunday received a mayjah disappointment.
The douchebag didn't show up until 2am, performed one and a half songs, then left!!!!
How the hell do you perform half a song and leave?!
Admission for the concert cost £20 and £40 for entrance into the VIP lounge for a meet and greet with the rapper.
The nightclub was forced to issue the following statement on its website:
”Mercy nightclub would like to apologise to all persons that attended the neyo event July 12th. Neyo was booked via an outside promoter and commited to a midnight performance of 5 tracks (minimum) and a meet & greet for VIP customers. For reasons beyond our control the artist arrived on stage at 2am , performed one song and left without reason or notice. Full refunds will be issued within 28 days. Further details will be announced as soon as possible.”
Then, the statement was retracted and replaced with this:
"Due to legal reasons, Mercy Nightclub has been asked to retract the previous statement publicised on our our website. The Neyo event was organised by an outside promotion company (Power house promotions). All ticket sale revenues are due to be paid to Powerhouse for this event. We are now in negotiation to resolve all the issues regarding this matter and will endeavour to keep everybody informed."

I don't understand how these stars get away with that behavior. That's their job. I assume he signed a contract to perform at his job. In the real world, he would get fired for being a lazy slackoff.
He made a mistake by calling him a rapper. Moving on. Ne-Yo was paid an appearance fee more than likely to appear at the club. Most singers/rappers do this. Some sing a couple of songs and chill. Some just appear and don't perform since they're not required to in most industry contracts with the clubs. It's like when they pay Paris Hilton to host at a nightclub. She's really just showing up. So look into this one a little bit more.

one and a half songs!? i was there! more like one song and two words of the next!! We were standing to get a good view for 5 hours for him to just storm off anyway. People where well pissed! Luckily we only bought standard £20 tickets. As the club closed at 2am any way so whoever bought £40 VIP tickets were well and truly screwed!
