The ex-contestant said in a statement:
The 54-year-old explained that he's turning to religion following his arrest, adding:

Bono may be a proud dad, but we think he should probably look away for this one.
His 24-year-old daughter, Eve Hewson, takes the pages of GQ's October issue only dressed in lacy lingerie!
In one shot, we see The Knick starlet (yes, she's an actress) practically spilling out of an Agent Provocateur corset, while posing on a zebra-print chair!
Then in another, she seductively smolders for the camera in a silky green slip. Daddy's little girl is ALL grown up!!
And we predict many more editorials in her future, don't you agree??
As for being in the limelight, Eve shared with the glossy:
What can't Jimmy do?!
Last night, Jimmy Fallon stopped by Madison Square Garden in New York to visit U2 during their concert!
But he didn't just swing by to say "hi". After the late night host surprised the audience by showing up on stage, he poked a bit of fun at himself and the band's guitarist The Edge by saying:
"I'm a big fan of Irish people who fall down and hurt themselves"
He then joined the band by helping to sing Desire before going solo and doing his best Bono impression and taking the lead vocals!
In true Fallon fashion, he topped it all off with a harmonica solo at the end!
Ch-ch-check out the AH-Mazing performance (above) while you dream of what it would be like to see Jimmy as a rockstar!
Most rock stars would love to get a chance to play with themselves in front of a screaming audience.
And U2 frontman Bono got to do just that when the band performed at the Air Canada Centre on Monday!
The iTunes infiltrators were playing a show on their Innocence + Experience tour when they invited Toronto based U2 cover band Acrobat on stage to play with them!
The cover band rocked out with the actual band during a performance of the hit Desire.
Acrobat is made up of Gabriel Pate as Bono, Martin Chorlton as guitarist the Edge, Mark Baker as bassist Adam Clayton, and Michael Wood as drummer Larry Mullen Jr.!
Check out the concert footage (below) to see this band's dreams come true!
How sweet! At least he gave her a hefty tip instead of a free digital copy of U2's album!
Bono totally made a waitress' day early Friday morning after his band performed at The Roxy that previous evening.
It was 3 a.m. when the U2 frontman and some of his friends walked through the doors of Canter's Deli in El Lay and he was waited on by Bella Haig, an 80-year-old waitress who had been at the restaurant for 50 years.
After they were seated, the 55-year-old basically asked the woman to serve him with whatever she felt like he should have.
Bella remembered thinking after he told her to pick an appetizer for him:
"I went to the back and I said 'this guy doesn't look Jewish, but I'm going to get him some matzah ball soup with carrots and noodles and chicken.'"
Shortly after, she recommended the Reuben sandwich, and according to onlookers, Bono also got french fries, onion rings, and a chocolate chip rugelach dessert on the house!
That definitely sounds like a late night meal/early breakfast for a rock star!
When everyone was done with their meal, the Irish musician paid the bill and gave Bella a $150 cash tip! Cash. Tip. On a bill that was less than $20!
She said of the generous move:
"Wow, I lucked out, I was thrilled. I was surprised it was that much."
The veteran waitress says she's going to use the cash to take her family out to dinner!
