Happy *NSYNC Day to one and all!!!
And the world became a better place!
Lance was the last member to join the mega boy band on that day, October 1, 1995.
(Fun fact: the second "N" in their acronymic name is actually for JasoN Galasso, an original member of the group; Lance's initial was never recognized! Poor Lance!)
No matter what their name was, their music was AH-Mazing, with three studio albums, two Greatest Hits records, two Christmas albums and nine Top 20 singles!
Today, Mr. Bass sent out a throwback pic to his fans on Instagram of him and the *NSYNC guys back in the day, along with the caption:
Late-'90s nostalgia overload!
Justin Timberlake, Lance Bass, Joey Fatone, J.C. Chasez, and Chris Kirkpatrick decided to have a little backstage fun before the mini reunion by getting their hacky sack on a la Freddie Prince Jr. in She's All That!
It was always a tradition for the group to play the game before their shows, and they reportedly used the same bean bag ball from way back when!
Ch-ch-check out the adorbz warm up before the big reunion…AFTER THE JUMP!!!
2 friggin' songs!!!
Sure, we hit decibels we didn't think we could reach when we saw JC Chasez, Lance Bass, Chris Kirkpatrick and Joey Fatone ascend from under the stage to give us the reunion the universe had been waiting for!
But 2 friggin' songs?!?
It sounds like JT's old bandmates were just as disappointed as we were too!
Sources close to the guys say the original plan was for there to be MORE *N SYNC during Timberlake's 15+ minute performance!
But that idea was scrapped in favor of giving Justin the spotlight on his big night!
An insider dished:
Our younger self nearly died Sunday night.
This is a serious subject… we NEARLY DIED!!! From POP-STALGIA!
Yes, *NSYNC reunited courtesy of MTV, and we'll forever be changed from that impeccable moment of television history. Ahh, the goosebumps are still tingling!!

J.C. Chasez, Lance Bass, Joey Fatone, and Chris Kirkpatrick are reportedly scheduled to join JT for a reunion performance. What's more — last Friday night, the boys were all seen in Justin's VIP section at his Jay Z concert in Miami, with Jessica Biel!
And you know what they say, the boys who stick together… blow our faces away at the VMAs!!
Watch out, Khaleesi — your stallion may be mounting another leading lady!!
The funny-man hosted the soirée and was technically responsible for ensuring that hundreds of guests enjoyed their evening, but sources say he spent the vast majority of his night talking, giggling, and flirting with the Prometheus star!
Ooh-la-la! Seth and Charlize are an interesting pairing, but isn't he supposed to be dating Emilia Clarke!?
