It's no secret the Broadway hit Hamilton has captured everyone's attention.
Well now Lin Manuel-Miranda's production has done it again as the 70th annual Tony Awards announced their nominees this morning and Hamilton set a new record with 16 nominations!
The former record holders were The Producers and Billy Elliot, which were tied with 15.

Well, clearly not every musician wants to be sad while looking back at the iconic singer's life, because the cast of Hamilton just celebrated his legacy in the most positive way yet!
Following their show Thursday night, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Renée Elise Goldsberry, Jonathan Groff, and the rest of the cast decided to honor the 57-year-old with an upbeat cover of his song Let's Go Crazy!
Now this seems like the way Prince would want to be remembered!

Of course, this bonding time with her former on-screen beau comes only a month after Miz Michele's split from Matthew Paetz. As you may know, Matthew broke up with Lea after dating for two years and getting her past the highly publicized death of her late love Cory Monteith.
Oh man! Nonetheless, it seems that the Scream Queens starlet couldn't be happier as she and Groff were all smiles and on the verge of hysterics in the pic (above). She wrote:

Jonathan Groff recently opened up to FourTwoNine about his missed connection with the superstar singer back April, when she was not invited backstage after seeing a production of Hamilton at the Public Theater in New York City.
For those of you wondering why on Earth author-slash-composer Lin-Manuel Miranda denied the pop princess' request to meet the cast of the hip-hop musical, it might be because she wasn't watching the show as much as she was texting through it.
But the Broadway babe wasn't really broken up about not being able to talk to the music icon. In fact, Jonathan hopes the snub taught her a lesson about theater etiquette, saying:
We were really hoping the rumors weren't true!
Despite being well-received by critics, Looking has indeed been cancelled by HBO after pulling in alarmingly low ratings for its two seasons.
The gay dramedy, led by Jonathan Groff, finished its second season with a whimper on Sunday, raking in less than 300,000 viewers…
Screenwriter and producer, Michael Lannan, announced the cancellation early on Twitter on Wednesday, which HBO has officially re-tweeted, saying:
HBO has been keeping its eye on Looking, unsure of whether or not it was worth extending the Jonathan Groff drama for another season.
After the ratings continuously slumped during the show's second season, it's looking like the series might have already been axed!
